Pattern Licensing
Thank you for purchasing a crochet pattern from Uniquely Made by Jodie. Please review these licensing terms before using the pattern.
Personal Use
You may use purchased or free Uniquely Made patterns to create finished crochet items for yourself, as gifts, or for charitable donations.
Selling Finished Items
You may sell finished handmade items created from Uniquely Made patterns on a small-business basis, including:
- craft markets;
- your own website;
- online marketplaces;
- social media; and
- local retail or consignment locations.
Finished items must be handmade by you or your small business. Large-scale manufacturing, factory production and mass production are not permitted without prior written authorization.
When selling finished items online, credit is appreciated using wording such as:

Credit is not required on physical product tags unless otherwise stated in the individual pattern.
Pattern Files
The pattern itself is for the purchaser’s use only.
You may not:
- copy, reproduce or redistribute the pattern in whole or in part;
- share, email or upload the pattern file for another person;
- sell, sublicense, trade or give away the pattern;
- post the written instructions, stitch counts, charts, photographs or page images online;
- translate and distribute the pattern without written permission;
- include the pattern in a kit, class, course, subscription or membership;
- convert the pattern into a video tutorial or written tutorial for public distribution; or
- claim the pattern or design as your own.
Each person who wants to use the pattern must obtain their own copy.
Modifications
You may adjust the pattern for your own personal use or for finished items that you sell.
Changing the yarn, colours, hook size, stitch count, accessories or other details does not transfer ownership of the original pattern or create permission to reproduce or redistribute it.
Modified, rewritten or adapted versions of the pattern may not be sold, shared or published without prior written permission.
Photographs and Images
Photographs, illustrations, graphics and page designs included in Uniquely Made patterns remain the property of Uniquely Made by Jodie.
You may post photographs of finished items you personally created. You may not use photographs taken from the pattern, website or social media accounts to advertise your own products without written permission.
Pattern Testing
Pattern testers may receive a temporary copy of a pattern for testing purposes.
Testing copies remain confidential and may not be shared. Testers must follow any release dates, posting requirements and confidentiality instructions provided for that test.
Classes and Workshops
A purchased pattern does not automatically include permission to teach the pattern in a paid or public class.
Written permission is required before using an Uniquely Made pattern in:
- paid classes;
- workshops;
- crochet-alongs;
- online courses;
- video tutorials;
- membership groups; or
- kits containing pattern instructions.
Each participant may be required to purchase their own copy of the pattern.
Free Patterns
Free patterns remain protected by copyright and are subject to the same restrictions on copying, sharing, resale and redistribution.
A free price does not place a pattern in the public domain or remove the creator’s ownership rights.
Digital Product Access
Purchasing a digital pattern grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the pattern under these terms. Ownership of the copyright and design is not transferred to the purchaser.
Copyright
All Uniquely Made crochet patterns, written instructions, photographs, charts, graphics and original page layouts are protected by copyright.
In Canada, copyright generally gives the owner the exclusive right to produce, reproduce and publish an original work, and protection generally arises when the original work is created and fixed in material form.
Requests for Additional Permission
For wholesale production, teaching permission, translations, collaborations, publishing requests or other uses not clearly permitted above, contact:

Unauthorized copying, resale, redistribution or publication of Uniquely Made patterns may result in removal requests, marketplace reports, suspension of access and other available legal remedies.
Updates to This Licence
These terms may be updated from time to time. The version displayed on the Uniquely Made website at the time of use will apply, unless different terms are included directly with a specific pattern.
